OneWorld Canine Obstacle Run : Anniston, AL
The OneWorld Canine Obstacle Run is an owner-and-dog team event held on the 200-acre OneWorld Pet Resort in Anniston, Alabama. The course covers 4+ miles and features more than 30 purpose-built obstacles across varied terrain, including dense woodlands, dirt, sand, and water, as well as natural and manmade challenges.
The event accepts a wide range of participants: civilian dog owners, search and rescue teams, military working dog teams, police dog teams, and individual entrants without a canine partner. Participants may register as individuals or as members of a team. A team is defined as four or more runners who start, run, and finish together; team results use the average time of the first four finishers. A Saturday second-run option is available for those who want to run the course twice; both runs are eligible for awards. Sunday racing returns as a lower-key option on the same course with timing but no time-based awards.
Handicap time adjustments are applied to adjusted results: handlers receive a 15 second deduction for each year older than 21, and canines receive a 1 minute deduction for each year over two. Awards cover multiple divisions, including youth, masters, military, law enforcement, search and rescue, no dog, open divisions, teams, and overall placements. There are no refunds. Deferral requests are closed; transfers were offered with a fee and processing requirements. Kennels are available on site and tent and RV camping options are offered.
