Oklahoma City Trail Running Festival
The Oklahoma City Trail Running Festival is a single-day event held at 11301 N Meridian Ave. The festival focuses on trail running across a course network consisting of natural terrain, dirt, and elevation. While the routes may occasionally use gravel or pavement, the maps are designed around the native trail systems of the area. Participants are permitted to run, hike, or walk the courses.
The event offers several distances and categories:
- 5K (approximately 3 miles)
- 15K (approximately 9 miles)
- 15K Ruck (approximately 9 miles)
- 35K (approximately 21 miles)
- 50K (approximately 31 miles)
This is a cupless event, meaning participants must bring their own water carrying system or hydration pack, as no cups are provided at aid stations. Aid stations are situated at key points along the course and provide water, hydration, and snacks. Rucking participants must adhere to weight requirements based on body weight, with a 30 lb ruck for those over 150 lbs and a 20 lb ruck for those under 150 lbs.
All finishers across every distance receive a soft t-shirt and a medal, with 50K finishers receiving a specific 50K medal. Ruck finishers receive a festival patch. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers in each distance, and a "Dead Freakin' Last" award is given to the final finisher of the 50K. Crew and spectator access is available, and attendees are permitted to set up tents or support stations in designated areas. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
