Occoneechee Speedway Relay

The Occoneechee Speedway Relay takes place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at the Historic Occoneechee Speedway in Hillsborough, North Carolina.

Teams can participate in two different relay categories: a 2-person relay and a 4-person relay. The total race distance is roughly 13.5 miles (about 20 laps), with each lap measuring just over one kilometer. The relay format is flexible; teams line the field like a pit row and can hand off in any order and after any number of laps. The only requirement is that the team completes the total of 20 laps.

Registration for a team closes on February 1, 2026. A team captain pays a single fee to secure the team spot ($120 for a 2-person team, $240 for a 4-person team). Teammates then register individually without additional charge.

Awards are given to the top teams in several categories: All Male, All Female, and Co-Ed for both the 2-person and 4-person divisions. Every participant receives custom race swag and post-race food and refreshments.

Parking at the speedway is limited. Participants are encouraged to carpool and will be directed to park on neighboring business properties. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
