Swepsonville, United States • 11 Apr 2026
Event Overview
The Cedarock Trail Run takes place at Cedarock Park in Burlington, North Carolina. This annual event features a course layout consisting of four unique loops, labeled A, B, C, and D. Participants choose from several distance options and categories:
- 5 km (Solo)
- 10 km (Solo)
- Half Marathon (Solo)
- Half Marathon Relay (Teams of 2-4)
The relay option allows teams to divide the four loops among members, with each participant completing at least one loop. Relay teams compete in male, female, or mixed divisions using a timing-chipped baton.
Course Details
The loops must be completed in succession. Each loop begins with a section of wide road, paved trail, or open fields ranging from 0.3 to 1.1 miles before transitioning into the woods. The terrain includes a mix of forested single-track and wide equestrian trails.
Loop A includes a mix of pavement and fields followed by single-track. Loop B consists primarily of single-track trails. Loops C and D are mostly comprised of equestrian trails. The elevation gain varies by loop: Loop A (233 feet), Loop B (174 feet), Loop C (267 feet), and Loop D (222 feet). The trails are described as minimally technical but include some sections with roots and rocks alongside hill climbs.
Facilities and Logistics
The event provides well-stocked aid stations positioned every 1 to 2 miles. Post-race amenities include food such as sliders, fruit, and bagels, along with various beverages. For younger participants, a free race for children aged 11 and under is held in a large field near the staging area, organized by age group.
Participants must have their bib numbers visible at all times. While bone conduction headsets are permitted, in-ear earbuds and external speakers are not allowed on the course. There are no cut-off times for the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
