Course and format

The course is made of four distinct loops (A, B, C, D) that must be run in succession for the half marathon. Loop lengths are approximately 3.38, 2.93, 3.69, and 3.27 miles respectively. Loop A is used for the 5K; Loops A and B for the 10K; and Loops A-D for the half marathon and relay. Each loop begins with 0.3–1.1 miles on wide road, paved trail, or grassy fields before entering forested single-track and wider equestrian trails. Elevation gain by loop is listed as 233', 174', 267', and 222' respectively.

Relay teams use a timing-chipped baton; each team member completes at least one loop and carries the same bib number. Courses are marked and marshaled at key points. Aid stations are placed approximately every 1–2 miles.

Minimum unaccompanied ages are 12 for the 10K and half marathon, and 10 for the 5K; younger entrants must race alongside a registered parent or guardian unless approved.
