Cedarock Trail Run - Burlington, NC

The 4th Annual Cedarock Trail Run takes place on April 11, 2026 at Cedarock Park in Burlington, NC. The event offers multiple race options on a course made from four distinct 5K+ loops labeled A, B, C, and D.

Distances:

  • 5K (Loop A)
  • 10K (Loops A and B)
  • Half Marathon (Loops A, B, C, and D)
  • Half Marathon Relay (teams of 2-4; each member runs at least one loop)

Each loop begins with 0.3–1.1 miles on wide road, paved trail, or grassy fields before entering the trails. Runners encounter a mix of forested single-track and wide equestrian trails: Loop A starts with 1.1 miles of pavement and open fields, Loop B is primarily single-track, and Loops C and D are mostly equestrian trails. The trails are described as minimally technical with root- and rock-filled sections and several short, steep climbs. Elevation gain by loop: Loop A 233', Loop B 174', Loop C 267', Loop D 222'. Loops must be run in succession.

Relay teams receive the same numbered bib for all members and a timing-chipped baton to pass in the staging area. Relay divisions are Male, Female, and Mixed. The event includes frequent aid stations every 1–2 miles, course marshals, chip timing, medical support, post-race food, a race tee, finisher medal, free kids race for ages 11 and under, awards, contests, and free photo downloads.
