Harepin Hustle Trail Run : Lake Crabtree, Morrisville, NC

The 3rd Annual Harepin Hustle Trail Run takes place at Lake Crabtree and uses the Wake County 286 trail network. The event offers newly routed courses that start and finish at the park and run through forest-covered single-track with hairpin turns, berms, short technical sections, and punchy climbs.

Course details include a shared out-and-back stem before entering the 286 trails and a clockwise outer loop. The Half Marathon adds an inner loop and a second lap of the outer loop. The trails are moderately technical with roots and rocks and are described as very runnable despite the technical features. Overall technical rating is 3+ out of 5.

  • Half Marathon : 13.2 miles, 983 feet elevation gain

Race staging and the finish area are on the park’s lakeside lawn. Post-race offerings include food, music, an awards ceremony with contests and giveaways, and free photo downloads. The event includes frequent aid stations, medical support, chip timing, and volunteer support. All finishers receive a finisher medal and race tees are provided. Youth and senior reduced pricing applies. A free Kids Race for Treasure is offered for children 11-under in age-grouped short out-and-back heats near the staging field; participating children receive a small prize from a Treasure Chest.
