NSRF Suffolk Turkey Trot 5K - Belmont Lake State Park

The Suffolk Turkey Trot 5K is scheduled for November 8, 2026 at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, New York. The event offers an in-person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K option that may be completed within the week following the event start date. A free kiddie dash is held prior to the main race.

The course loops around a scenic 42-acre lake and follows tree-lined trails that provide park views. Event amenities include an informal bag check area, restroom facilities within a short walk of the start and finish, on-site hydration at the finish, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A race shirt is available and bib mailing is offered for an additional fee if requested in advance.

Results are posted online with live options for email or text, plus same-day finish line photos and video. Age-group recognition is listed for top finishers overall and in multiple age categories including 14 & under through 90+. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, and 100% of designated donations support the foundation’s programs for youth, special needs events, and athlete development. Step Up for the Brave runs Aug 10–15, 2026 with 90 minute stair climb and walk challenges at Sacred Heart University plus a five day 40,000 step virtual challenge supporting veterans experiencing homelessness.

An evening 3.6 mile trail run through Forest Park in Queens that visits 543 acres of wooded trails with rolling hills. After the run a festival area has music, vendors, food trucks and awards with participant tees provided.

A 50K trail ultramarathon in Forest Park, Queens. The race is 12 laps of a 2.5 mile counterclockwise loop with about 300 ft climb per lap, aid stations after each lap, and an eight hour cutoff.

A six-hour run and relay at Belmont Lake State Park honoring Fred von der Heydt with individual and team competition on a 1.50 mile loop and commemorative apparel.
