Event overview
The North Downs Way Ultra Run is a guided group trail run of 30 miles starting and finishing at St Martha's Hill in Guildford, Surrey. The event is scheduled for 10 January 2026 and 10 October 2026. The entry cost is £45 per person. This is not a race; participants run together and are supported by an experienced ultra runner and coach. A full kit list will be provided. Participants are advised to have run at least 22 miles in training and to be able to maintain an average trail pace of about 10 min/mile (6 min/km) for prolonged periods.
Route and logistics
The route follows parts of the North Downs Way and explores the Surrey Hills, passing small villages, Denbies Wine Estate, Box Hill, Newland's Corner, and St Martha's church. At the top of Box Hill there is a planned stop for a drink and cake. Guildford has transport links by car and train; a car park is available at the meeting point and the location is a short run or taxi ride from a train station. Organisers will provide further event details to participants before the run. An alcohol-free beer may be offered at the end of the run, subject to availability.
