North 100

The North 100 is a team trail running event that takes place in Cornwall. This group event involves five runners working together to complete a 100 mile route. The primary course for this edition runs from Bude to Gwithian. As a self-navigational team challenge, all five participants start at the same time and aim to complete the journey as a collective unit within a 36-hour time limit.

Participants must meet specific qualifying criteria to enter. Runners are required to have completed a 100k event in under 20 hours and must have previous experience with night running in an organized event. Because the event emphasizes the team dynamic, runners who move ahead of the group are required to wait for the rest of the participants at crew points.

The organizers provide support throughout the duration of the run. Transportation is arranged from the event base in Camborne to the start line and back from the finish point. Support includes:

  • 100 miles: A team-based trail run from Bude to Gwithian.

The crew meets the runners approximately every 5 to 6 miles to provide water, soft drinks, and snacks such as sweets and crisps, along with simple hot food. While the organizers offer supplementary nutrition, participants are responsible for supplying their own primary nutrition and may bring one gear box of specific dimensions. A mandatory kit list is enforced, including items such as a high-quality waterproof jacket, a bivvy bag, and emergency supplies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
