Nocturnal 12

Rochester, United States • 17-18 Oct 2026

Event Overview

The Nocturnal 12 is a 12-hour fixed-time endurance challenge set in the Town of Greece, New York. Participants navigate a 2.06-mile round-trip course on a mostly flat, paved path along the Lake Ontario State Parkway Trail. The route is an out-and-back format, measuring 1.03 miles each way between Island Cottage Road and Dewey Avenue.

The event is designed with a flexible structure where participants can choose when to start and stop within the 12-hour window. Results are based on the number of fully completed laps, with a minimum of one lap required to be considered a finisher.

Course Details

The course utilizes a wide, well-maintained section of the parkway trail. As there are no streetlights along the path, all participants are required to use headlamps or flashlights. Reflective gear is also encouraged due to the proximity of the parkway.
