The No Business 100 is the 9th annual running of a single-loop trail endurance race hosted from the Group Camp at Pickett CCC Memorial State Park in Jamestown, Tennessee. The course is about 102 miles with roughly 14,500 feet of ascent (and similar descent). The race crosses the state line into Kentucky and returns to Tennessee. The total race cutoff is 34 hours. The organizers reverse the direction of the course each year and award a special buckle for runners who complete the course in both directions.
Course, terrain and support
The route runs through the Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area on technical single-track trails and visits historic sites such as the No Business settlement. Features along the course include towering sandstone arches, rockhouses, overlooks, waterfalls, and abandoned farms and homesteads. The event lists roughly 15 aid stations distributed around the loop and notes the course traverses wild, remote areas in two US states. The race begins and ends at Pickett State Park and follows established regional trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
