NorCal Backyard Ultra: Last Person Standing & Mini Last Person Standing

This event takes place at Folsom Lake in Granite Bay, California, with activities on October 23rd and 24th, 2026. The main event is the Last Person Standing format, where runners start a new lap every hour. There is also a "Mini" Last Person Standing event with a 12-hour limit.

The course is a loop of 4.16 miles with an elevation gain of 320 feet per lap. Runners must begin each new loop at the start line on the hour. Failing to start on time results in disqualification from continuing. The Last Person Standing event continues until only one runner remains, while the Mini event concludes after 12 hours.

The start location for both events is Beals Point in Granite Bay. An aid station with water, hydration mix, and light snacks is available at the start/finish line. Participants are encouraged to set up their own personal aid station area near the start/finish line, as receiving aid from crew on the course is not permitted.

All runners receive a quarter zip and a custom wood award based on the number of miles completed. The overall winner receives a custom wood plaque.

The event supports a community initiative where participants can donate to selected nonprofit partners and receive a future race discount for verified donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
