Naticook Challenge 5K

The Naticook Challenge 5K Obstacle Course Race returns to Wasserman Park on Saturday, September 26, 2026, for its seventh year. The event is a trail based race held within Wasserman Park and on the Conservation Trails that border the park.

The course covers a distance of 5k and includes 12 or more beginner to intermediate level obstacles. Obstacle bypass exercises are available for participants who cannot complete a given obstacle. Runners start in small groups and proceed in waves spaced three minutes apart.

Entry is limited to 200 participants and the entry fee is $40. The first 200 registered participants will receive an official Naticook Challenge runners T shirt and a finisher's medal. Volunteers are sought for check in, course monitoring and awards.

Race guidelines note recommended clothing of non cotton flexible material, no pets, no strollers or wheeled instruments on the course, and that runners must follow instructions from race staff and volunteers. Runners under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. All entries are final and non refundable and the race is held rain or shine. Race photos will be available for purchase.

Attendance constitutes consent to recording and photography by the Town of Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department, which may use images or recordings for public or commercial purposes under a perpetual non exclusive license. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
