Nant Gain is a fell race that starts and finishes at Cilcain Waterworks (CH7 5PE, GR SJ 17206 64769). The course distance is 7.6 km (4.7 mi) with 370 m (1214 ft) of climb. The start and finish are a five minute walk from registration.

Registration takes place at The White Horse Pub in Cilcain from 18.00. Parking at the registration venue is not available. Car sharing is recommended and the viewpoint car park (CH7 5NN, GR SJ 17055 65222) should be used. Village parking is very limited and inconsiderate parking may jeopardise future races.

The minimum age for entrants is over 16. Recorded best times on the course in 2024 are 35:38 for the male record and 42:03 for the female record. Entry on the night is charged at £3. The event is insured by WFRA.
