Mullaghcleevaun

Lackan, Ireland • 31 Aug 2025

Mullaghcleevaun is an Irish Mountain Running Association event in County Wicklow. The 16-kilometre mountain race features about 900 metres of ascent over rugged terrain. The route starts at Glenmacanass Waterfall car park, passes Carrigshouk, Mullaghcleevaun, and Sorrel Hill, finishing at Lacken.

Runners have free route choice between checkpoints; major junctions are marked, with a bus shuttle to the start outlined due to limited capacity. On very wet days a ridge route between Mullaghcleevaun and Black Hill may be closed, with an alternative exit via Ballynultagh Forest. Navigation via map and compass is mandatory, alongside a comprehensive kit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
