MSRC XC 5k Classic

MSRC XC 5k Classic is a cross country race held at Verona Area High School on July 12, 2026. Proceeds from the event benefit the MSRC scholarship fund.

The event features the following distances:

1.6 mile kids race for ages 14 and under
5k open to all ages

Participants may register as individuals or as teams of five. Same-day registration is available at the VAHS ball field concession stand. The race course is supported by a lead vehicle and course marshals, and organizers provide a course map for participants. Parking is available at the end of Wildcat Way.

Team competition uses five runners with four scoring. Coed teams must include at least two women, with at least two women scoring. For team registration a captain may register all members or begin registration and provide remaining members a password to complete their entries.

Awards are presented after the race at the concession stand. Individual age group awards are offered in Women and Men categories for 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus. A Non-Binary category is listed as Open. Team awards include first place Women's Team, Men's Team, Non-Binary Team, and Coed Team. A raffle will follow the awards.
