Mount Helena Run

The Mount Helena Run is an annual 9-kilometer (5.6-mile) trail race held in Helena, Montana, featuring a challenging course with 1,300 feet of elevation gain and loss. Starting on historic Last Chance Gulch in downtown Helena, the race transitions from urban streets to mountain trails within Mt. Helena City Park.
Runners ascend to the summit of Mount Helena, enjoying panoramic views of Helena, Prickly Pear Valley, and the Elkhorn and Big Belt Mountains, before descending back to the finish line downtown. The course includes about 1.5 miles on roads and over 4 miles on single-track trails, offering a mix of urban and rugged mountain running.
