Goats In The Dark

The Goats In The Dark is a nighttime 5k trail run scheduled for August 28, 2026. The event starts at the corner of LeGrande Cannon Blvd and Silverette St on the west side of Helena, Montana.

The 5k route starts on LeGrande Cannon Blvd and proceeds to the Tubbs Trailhead. Runners then follow a loop on Swaney, Diretissima, and Ambrose trails on the northwest side of Mount Helena. The course finishes on the Panhandle trail, which leads to Reber Rd and back onto LeGrande Cannon Blvd for a final section to the start/finish line.

Late August nighttime temperatures in the area are typically pleasant. Runners may see sunset views before it gets dark. A headlamp is required for participation.
