Morris Hot Cocoa 5K and 10k : December 13, 2025

The event in Morris Plains, NJ offers two distances:

  • 5K (3.1 miles)
  • 10k (6.2 miles)

Entries include a medal, a long-sleeved shirt, and complimentary hot cocoa at the finish. The first 200 participants are eligible to receive a shirt. Age-group medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each 10-year age interval. All proceeds support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Course and logistics

The course is an all-grassy, multi-loop trail with no road crossings and some hills. Terrain features dirt, grass, and gravel; trail shoes are encouraged. Entrances use the North Cottage Road entrance of Morris County Park (MCP); GPS coordinates are provided in the event materials. Parking is available on grass, in large lots next to the soccer fields, and along the park main road. Runner check-in is located near the highest elevation point in the park. Real bathrooms and portable toilets are on site. Pre-race bib and shirt pickup is offered at Fleet Feet, Morristown, with additional pickup available on race day.
