Montane Ullswater Way Trail Ultra, 20 & 10 2026

This trail event takes place on Sunday 31 May 2026 with Race HQ at Jenkins Field in Glenridding, Ullswater, Cumbria, Great Britain. Three route options follow sections of the Ullswater Way and nearby loops.

  • 33.5 Miles Ultra follows the Ullswater Way and includes Lowther and Dalemain loops.
  • 21.5 Miles Trail 20 is a complete lap of Ullswater without additional loops.
  • 10 Miles Trail 10 starts at Pooley Bridge and finishes at Glenridding.

Entry includes a bespoke finishers medal, electronic timing, free event photographs, and feed stops on the route. Trail 10 entrants must register at Race HQ in Glenridding then proceed to the Pooley Bridge start; an optional event coach to the start is available for an extra £10 if booked in advance. Participants must carry the items listed on the compulsory kit list and meet minimum age requirements: 16 years on race day, with a minimum age of 18 for the Ultra distance. Entries close when the event is full or at midday on the Friday prior to race day.

The Ultra distance has course cutoffs for safety: reach the Pooley Bridge feed station at 18.5 miles within 6.5 hours, Aira Force at 30.5 miles within 10.5 hours, and the finish within 11.5 hours. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A 10 km urban trail through central Carlisle on 06 May 2026 that passes Carlisle Cathedral, Millennium Bridge and Carlisle Castle. Entry is limited to 300 runners aged 15 and over with overall and age group prizes.

Tackle a classic Lake District fell race from Dockray to Hartside on Wed 6 May 2026, covering 10 km with a stiff 800 m of climb. Entry on the day is £5 with parking at the quarry car park. Expect a tough scenic course and friendly vibes.

Take on the Cautley Horseshoe fell race near Sedbergh on 6 May 2026, a short but brutal 7.5 km with 805 m of ascent and spectacular upland views. Entry on the day is £5 and the Cross Keys Inn will be open for post race food and drink.

A fully way marked 47 mile trail around Lake Windermere, open to runners and walkers with 24 hours to complete. The route has GPS support, five aid stations, a halfway bag drop, a finishers meal and a locally sourced medal.
