Montane Trail Ultra, 20 & 10 Ullswater Way

The event is based at Jenkins Field, Glenridding, Cumbria (CA11 0US). Race registration and event headquarters are located at Jenkins Field. The Trail 10 starts from Pooley Bridge and finishes in Glenridding.

Distances include:

  • 33.5 miles Ultra includes the Ullswater Way route plus the Lowther and Dalemain loops.
  • 21.5 miles Trail 20 follows a complete lap of the Ullswater Way without the extra loops.
  • 10 miles Trail 10 runs the final 10 miles from Pooley Bridge back to Glenridding.

Race entries carry an entry fee: the Ultra is £74, the 21.5 mile race is £44 and the 10 mile race is £35. Trail 10 runners must register at Race HQ in Glenridding before proceeding to the Pooley Bridge start. Optional coach transport from Race HQ to the Trail 10 start is available for £10 when booked in advance; there is no on-the-day booking for coach seats.

Runners must carry the items listed on the compulsory kit list. Minimum ages are 16 for the Trail 20 and Trail 10 and 18 for the Trail Ultra. Entries close when the event is full or at midday on the Thursday prior to race day. The Ultra has enforced intermediate cut-offs at specific feed stations and an overall finish cut-off for safety.
