Monsal Metric Marathon & Half Marathon
The Monsal Metric Marathon and Half Marathon takes place on 14 February 2027 in Bakewell, Derbyshire. The event uses the Monsal Trail and offers two metric distances:
- 26.2 km Metric Marathon
- 13.1 km Metric Half Marathon
The course runs on a multi terrain, generally flat to undulating, traffic free trail through the Peak District. Route maps and downloadable GPX files are provided for participants. The event includes a bespoke medal, free photographs, and trophies and prizes for leading runners. Event information will be sent to registered entrants before race day.
Race headquarters are at Bakewell Station, Bakewell, Derbyshire DE45 1GE. There is no general car parking at Bakewell Station apart from spaces for disabled motorists. Two large pay and display car parks are located around 500 metres from the station. The access road to Bakewell Station is a no through road and is not suitable for drop offs. Additional parking, spectator facilities and a café are available about one mile along the trail at Hassop Station, which can serve as a warm up location.
