Event Overview

The MoCo Dems 5K Fall FunRun is a community run/walk event organized by the MD District 15 Democratic Caucus. It takes place at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, Maryland.

Distances and Registration

The event features a single 5K (3.1 miles) distance, offered in three registration categories:

  • 5K (Ages 18+)
  • Youth 5K (Ages 17 and Under)
  • 5K (Free Option for Youth 10 and Under)

Registration is online only. A race timing bib and t-shirt are included for registered participants while supplies last. Youth aged 10 and under have a free registration option, though they do not receive a t-shirt or bib with that option.

Course and Location

The course is a wide, natural trail that traverses the Agricultural History Farm Park. A water station is located at the 1.3-mile mark. Parking is available on-site at the venue's visitor parking lot.

Schedule and Amenities

On race day, packet pickup begins in the morning. There is a scheduled pre-race pep rally and group stretch session. Post-race snacks, including water, bananas, and granola bars, are provided for participants. An award ceremony is held after the race, with medals for the top three fastest male, female, and youth finishers.
