Event Overview
The MoCo Dems 5K Fall FunRun is an outdoor community event held at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood, Maryland. Organized by the MD District 15 Democratic Caucus, the event focuses on community engagement and health. The course features a shady trail that traverses the public park grounds.
Participants can choose from several registration categories:
- 5K (Ages 18+)
- Youth 5K (Ages 17 and Under)
- 5K (Free option for children 10 and under)
Registered participants in the paid categories receive a race timing bib, a race t-shirt while supplies last, and a race packet. Children 10 and under using the free registration option do not receive a bib, shirt, or packet. The event includes a morning pep rally, a stretching session, and music. After the run, water, bananas, and granola bars are provided for the participants.
The event features an award ceremony where medals are presented to the first, second, and third-place finishers. Awards are categorized for the fastest male and female finishers in the adult category, as well as the fastest finishers in the youth category.
