Lake Natoma Trail Run
The Lake Natoma Trail Run is an annual trail event presented by Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District. Formerly known as the Mississippi Bar Trail Run, the event takes place on the north shore of Lake Natoma in Fair Oaks, California and highlights wetlands, oak-studded bluffs, single and double track, and rocky dredge trails left from historic gold prospecting.

The 5K route rises into oak-lined bluffs with single and double track sections and areas of noticeable elevation change, then descends to a flatter access road back into the main event area. The 10K follows the same trails as the 5K and extends onto additional paths that pass through dredged rock terrain and along the lake shore.
Event logistics note that the entrance is located at the intersection of Sunset and Main Avenues in Fair Oaks. Packet pick-up is available the day before the race and on race morning. Entry fees vary by registration period and active and retired military receive a five dollar discount. Race timing uses chip technology with live results and participant tracking managed by Capital Road Race Management. Proceeds support the Rachel Anne Gray Memorial Scholarship.
