Mine Hill Half Marathon

The Mine Hill Half Marathon is a road race held at Mine Hill Distillery in Roxbury, Connecticut on May 24, 2026. The event is a half marathon with sections on paved roads and soft dirt roads that pass farms, fields, and rural vistas.

The course begins at the distillery and follows Route 67 and Sentry Hill Road before moving onto Judds Bridge Road. Runners cross Judds Bridge and continue past a farm, then follow Walker Brook Road toward Shinar Mountain Road. Shinar Mountain Road includes about a mile of climbing, which becomes Lower Church Hill Road and then a steep half mile climb on West Church Hill Road that reaches the highest point near the halfway mark with about 250 feet of gain. The second half of the course trends downhill, returns along Walker Brook Road and retraces portions of the initial route back to the distillery finish.

The event schedule includes a post race celebration at the distillery with food and beverage options and the opportunity to sample Mine Hill Distillery spirits. The organizer also offers finisher medals and awards for the top three overall male and female finishers. A separate gravel bike event called the Mine Hill Gravel Challenge is held in conjunction with the race, with a duathlon option offered as well and separate registration required.

Registration policies state there are no refunds or transfers of registration or bibs. Entry fees are used to produce the event. The published entry fee range is 60 to 80 USD. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
