Event overview

The Millstone Hill Race takes place on 19 October 2025 and starts and finishes at the Bennachie Visitor Centre car park. The course is an approximate 10 km hill route with 360 m of elevation on mixed terrain. The route will have course markings and a GPX file is provided. Prizes are offered to the top three finishers in both male and female categories, plus age-category prizes. There is also a spot raffle entry for runners who beat a set time established by the organiser.

Entry, logistics and rules

Entry costs £9.50 plus an admin fee. Online entries close Wednesday 15 October 2025 at midnight; there are no entries on the day. Total places are limited to 50 and all runners must be 18 or over on race day. Runners must register and collect their bib before the race. Appropriate footwear and kit should be worn for the terrain and weather; trail shoes are highly recommended. Water will be available at the finish. Parking is available at the Visitor Centre but not exclusively for the event and participants are responsible for any parking charges. Headphones and dogs are not permitted. The race is run under Scottish Hill Runners guidelines and participants are responsible for their own safety; any medical conditions and required medication should be declared to the organisers and carried by the participant.
