Miller Landing Madness 8K/5K/3K Cross Country Run

This event offers three cross country distances held at Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park, Gate B in Tallahassee, Florida. It serves as a kickoff for the high school cross country season and a seasonal restart for Gulf Winds Track Club members, bringing club runners and local high school competitors together on park courses.

Distances offered:

  • 8K for ages 1 to 18 and for ages 19 and older
  • 5K for ages 1 to 18 and for ages 19 and older
  • 3K for ages 1 to 18 and for ages 19 and older

Registration opens July 8, 2026. Youth entries are offered with no registration fee and have a later closing date than adult entries. Adult entries require a registration fee of $20 and close earlier than youth registration. The 8K and 5K races start together and the 3K starts later the same day.

Participants are asked to bring two to four canned food items for donation. All donated food will go to Second Harvest of the Big Bend, with an overall collection goal of at least 1,500 pounds. Monetary proceeds from the event benefit the GWTC Chenoweth Fund. Course maps are available for each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
