The Cocking trail event includes an adult trail race of 10 km and a series of junior trail races for age categories 6-8, 9-11 and 12-15. The adult race is held in May 2026 at the Cadence Cycle Club Café, Hilltop, Cocking, Midhurst GU29 0HT. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules (TRA licence number 7176). Entries are limited to 350 runners. All adult entrants must be at least 16 years old. Entries must be made online via the event booking partner; no on-the-day entries are available.

Course, facilities and restrictions

The route is a hilly trail across the South Downs, running over the Cowdray Estate, onto the South Downs and the West Dean Estate, and includes a downhill finish stretch. On-site facilities listed include chip timing, a finisher's medal, prizes for leading runners and category winners, spot prizes, toilets, on-site parking and bike parking, and race village refreshments. The event is not open to canicross and dogs are not permitted on the course. Public transport access is available via the Stagecoach bus route 60 from Chichester or Midhurst.
