Cocking Trail Races, Cocking (South Downs)

The Cocking Trail Races take place on 10 May 2026 in Cocking within the South Downs National Park. The event comprises senior and junior trail races that follow footpaths, bridleways and short sections of quiet country lanes across the South Downs and nearby estates.

Both senior routes start at Cocking Hilltop and run across the Cowdray Estate, west of the Flint Barn Café, then onto the South Downs and the West Dean Estate. The course is predominantly on trails, with hilly climbs and some faster descents. The route passes the derelict medieval site of West Monkton; the 20 km course also passes the Devil's Jumps Bronze Age site. Runners can expect wide countryside views, including sights toward the South Coast and the Isle of Wight.

Water stations are provided : one for the 10 km at about 4 km and an additional station on the 20 km at about 12 km. The route will be signposted and marshalled throughout. Prizes include podium awards and age category awards in both senior races. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UK Athletics rules; licence numbers are provided for each distance. Trail runs nearby

A guided 30 mile trail run near Guildford on 2 May 2026 that follows parts of the North Downs Way and the Greensand Way. Led by an experienced ultra runner and coach, it includes Leith Hill, a kit list and an end of run alcohol free beer.

A three day series across East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill offering 10 mile, 10k, mile and fun run distances plus combined marathon and virtual options.

A single entry that covers four Centurion 100 mile races between 2 May and 18 October 2026, organised by Centurion Running. The combined entry is full and the minimum age for entry is 20.

A Backyard Ultra on private wildlife trails at Chilton Manor Farm with fields, woodland and a high point at Bugmore Hill Trig Point offering views across the South Downs. The loop returns to an event camp with signage from nearby towns.
