Mental Health Ultra Marathon : Newnan, GA
The Mental Health Ultra Marathon is a community event held near 155 Millard Farmer Rd in Newnan, GA. It offers three race options on a repeating loop course and supports mental health services through donated proceeds.
The course is a 6-mile loop of single track with rolling hills, and each loop has about 450 feet of gain. Runners are asked to carry water and fuel for the 6-mile loop. A full aid station is available at the start and finish area.
Proceeds from the event are donated to AnotherWay Foundation, Inc. for use within Pathways Center for Mental Health. Pathways Center provides behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and adults and addresses mental health and substance abuse needs. Donations may be used to sponsor individual counseling sessions and to support therapeutic interventions such as art therapy, pet therapy, and horticultural therapy.
The event is organized with support from Coweta County Parks & Rec. Registration closes on October 31 at 11:59 PM ET. Race day registration is available, and the deadline to order shirts is October 31.
