Medved Madness Trail Races : overview

The event takes place Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park, Honeoye Falls, NY. The program includes these races:

  • Long Course - roughly 13 miles
  • Short Course - roughly 5 miles
  • Kids K - a little longer than a half mile

Course distances are estimates and the exact route is set on race day. The Long Course will have one basic aid station; Long Course runners are asked to carry their own hydration and nutrition. Long and Short Course participants receive a gender-specific tech t-shirt. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to park rules and insurance.

Logistics, registration and race-day services

Packet pickup is available Saturday at Medved Running & Walking Outfitters (3400 Monroe Avenue) and there is morning packet pickup for those unable to attend Saturday; there is no day-of registration. Registrations may be deferred or switched between the Long and Short Course but registrations cannot be transferred to other runners and no refunds will be issued. A post-race barbecue with items such as BBQ chicken and potatoes is provided; attendees are asked to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
