Medved Madness Trail Races

The Medved Madness Trail Races take place in Mendon Ponds Park, utilizing the trail systems around the Stewart Lodge area. This spring event offers multiple distances on natural terrain, featuring a landscape that includes hills and mud. Participants can choose from several event options based on their preferred distance:

  • 13 miles (Long Course)
  • 5 miles (Short Course)
  • 0.5 miles (Kids K Trail Race)

Runners participating in the long and short courses receive a gender-specific technical t-shirt. The event also offers an early start option for the 13 mile distance. Registration is handled online, and there is no registration available on the day of the race. Participants can pick up their race packets at the Medved Running & Walking Outfitters store on the day before the event or at the park lodge on the morning of the races.

A post-race meal is served at Stewart Lodge following the runs. The menu includes BBQ chicken, potatoes, and additional items. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to use during the meal. The event is a long-standing tradition at Mendon Ponds Park, with previous editions including both solo and relay formats. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
