Med Bow Rail Marathon and Half Marathon

The Med Bow Rail Marathon & Half Marathon takes place on August 10th, 2024, in Lake Owen, Medicine Bow National Forest, Laramie, WY. The marathon course covers the Rail Trail from end-to-end at an average elevation of 8,926 feet, passing through two states and finishing at a mountain lake. The half-marathon course loops around Lake Owen and the Rail Trail. All race proceeds fund trail upkeep, and participants receive a race souvenir and finisher medal. The Medicine Bow Rail Trail is a 21-mile gravel pathway through the Medicine Bow National Forest, open year-round for various non-motorized uses.
