Endurance Event in Gig Harbor

The McCormick 24 is a timed running event held in Gig Harbor, Washington. The course consists of a 2-mile loop featuring varied terrain. Participants encounter approximately 320 feet of elevation gain during each completed lap. The event offers three distinct time-based categories:

  • 24 Hour
  • 12 Hour Day
  • 12 Hour Night

The central hub of the race, including the start/finish line and the primary aid station, is situated in an open field within the park. This area is located about 0.10 miles from the main trailhead. The organizers provide multiple canopy tents for participant use, and runners may also bring their own canopy tents for setup, though the available space in the field is limited. Drop bags are permitted for all registered athletes.

The aid station provides basic hot and cold food items, along with water and Skratch hydration products. Parking is available at several locations, including off-road spots near the trailhead and additional lots at the nearby fire department and fire department training facility.

All participants receive awards for their participation. Runners who successfully complete 100 miles or more during the event are eligible to receive a belt buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
