Matchmakers & Mimosas 5K - Ott Vineyards

Event Overview

The Matchmakers & Mimosas 5K is held at Ott Vineyards & Winery in Ellijay, Georgia. It takes place on a Saturday in February, featuring a Valentine's theme. The event offers three different registration options.

Events

Participants can choose from the following events:

• A standard 5K race.
• A Sip & Stroll division, which includes the same participant items as the 5K but has no requirement to run.
• A Virtual 5K option for those who cannot attend in person.

Course and Timing

The course takes place in and around the vineyards, featuring grass and cross-country style terrain. The race uses chip timing for the start and finish. Water stations are available approximately every 1.5 miles along the route.

Participant Perks and Awards

All participants receive a Valentine-themed race shirt and a finisher medal. A complimentary mimosa is provided at the finish line, with juice and water available for participants under 21. Awards are given in five-year age groups starting from 10 & under, and also to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as top masters (40+), grand masters (50+), and senior masters (60+).

Registration and Logistics

Regular registration is $35 per event, with prices increasing after a specific date in February. Packet pickup occurs on race morning, starting one hour before the event begins. Participants registered by a specific date in February are guaranteed swag in their requested size; after that, items are available while supplies last. The event has a no-refund policy.
