DT Stone Anvil - April 14 - 19, 2026
The Stone Anvil is a series of trail races held inside Fort Mountain State Park in the Cohutta Mountains near Chatsworth, GA. The course uses an inner (clockwise) and an outer (counter-clockwise) loop. The outer loop is about 20 miles with roughly 5,500 feet of elevation gain per loop. Two taps on the Pinhoti Connector add about 3.4 miles and 1,500 feet of gain. The route includes a Power Line Climb of about 1 mile with roughly 1,000 feet of ascent, technical sections such as parts of the Gahuti trail, and many rolling double-wide trails. The start/finish area is near the main parking by the lake. Crew access is allowed at Lakeside, Cool Springs Overlook, and the Park Entrance. Cutoff times are enforced on later loops for runner safety.
