FSR 100 : event description

FSR 100 is a one-loop 100-mile forest service road run based in Ocoee, Tennessee. The course travels through remote mountain terrain, crossing into North Georgia, and contains substantial elevation gain—approximately 11,254 feet over the distance. A short section at the start is not part of the main loop; otherwise the route follows forest service roads and is mostly runnable.

Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and provide a range of foods and fluids, including water, sports drinks, sodas, hot coffee, hot chocolate, broth at night, fruits, sandwiches, potatoes, and snacks. The event is cupless: participants must carry a hydration pack and bring their own cup or bottle for station beverages. Medical staff are present at some points, but inaccessibility of much of the course can delay assistance. Runners are responsible for evaluating their own condition and for the financial cost of any emergency evacuation.

Vehicles are permitted on the forest service roads used for the course; roads are not closed to traffic. Crew access is limited to designated aid stations and must follow event parking and access rules. Pacers may accompany a runner starting at mile 50.8 and must follow pacer rules, including age and conduct requirements. The event enforces strict cutoffs and performance rules, requires compliance with aid station check-ins, and prohibits littering and off-trail shortcuts.
