Event Overview
The Mariners Bethel Trail Run is a multi-activity event at Camp Barnes in Frankford, Delaware. The main events are a 6.2 Mile Trail Run and a 3.1 Mile Trail Run. There are also three walking options of 1, 2, or 3 miles, and a Kiddie Color Run for children 12 and under. A post-race lunch and live bluegrass music are part of the activities. Proceeds from the event benefit the children and youth ministries of Mariners Bethel church.
Race Details
The course begins and ends at Camp Barnes and uses cross-country roads and trails through the Assawoman Wildlife Refuge. The event is produced by Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc. Race timing uses the Chronotrack B Chip system. Custom T-shirts are offered, but they are not guaranteed for registrations after a specified date in October.
Awards are given to the overall male and female champions, overall masters champions (40+), and the top three male and female finishers in ten-year age increments for both running events. In 2026, medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age group.

Registration is available online or by mail. Pricing varies by event:
- 6.2m Run: $35 pre-registration ($40 race-day)
- 3.1m Run: $35 pre-registration ($40 race-day)
- 1, 2, or 3 Mile Walk: $25 pre-registration ($30 race-day)
- Kiddie Color Run (12u): $10 pre-registration ($15 race-day)
