The Margaret River Ultra Marathon is scheduled for 9-10 May 2026 in the Margaret River region of Western Australia. The programme includes solo and team options across multiple distances and a kids race. Courses finish at Howard Park and start at different coastal locations: the 80 km ultra begins at Hamelin Bay and the 42 km trail marathon begins at Yallingup. Relay teams for the 80 km event may consist of 2 to 5 runners, with individual relay legs approximately 11 km to 19 km each. A Grand Slam option is offered for those who wish to run both solo events on consecutive days. A 2 km kids race is held at Howard Park.

Entry status and field limits

An entry update dated 29/10/2025 reports that entries are at capacity for the 80 km and 42 km solo categories, and that the teams category previously reached its entry limit soon after entries opened. Field limits are stated as follows:

  • 80 km ultra: 400 solo runners and 250 teams
  • 42 km marathon: 400 solo runners
