Margaret River Ultra Marathon
The Margaret River Ultra Marathon is a multi-distance trail running event held in the Margaret River region of Western Australia on 9–10 May 2026. The program includes long and short options across coastal and regional terrain, with course segments connecting coastal points and Howard Park.
Distances on offer:
- 80 km ultra - solo or relay team (2 to 5 runners)
- 42 km trail marathon - solo
- 2 km kids race at Howard Park
Course routing for 2026 included an 80 km route from Hamelin Bay to Howard Park and a 42 km route from Yallingup to Howard Park. The event operated with field limits: the 80 km solo field capped at 400 runners plus 250 teams, and the 42 km solo field capped at 400 runners. Results, photos and race media were published after the event. Organisers acknowledged runners, volunteers, sponsors and vendors for their roles in staging the weekend. Entries for the 2027 edition were scheduled to open online on 14 October 2026.
Participants at the event ranged from experienced trail athletes to first-time marathon and ultra entrants, school groups and team relay competitors.
