Sandman 50

Sandman 50 is a 50-kilometer beach running race held in Geographe Bay, Australia, from the Old Dunsborough boat ramp to Busselton Jetty and back. The course stays on the sand with the nominal race line within about three metres of the water’s edge, offering a classic coastal endurance challenge. Entrants can race solo or form two-person relay teams (25 km each) with a changeover at Busselton Jetty. The event is recognized by the Australian Ultra Runners Association and is marketed as “a long run on the beach.” Registration fees are $70 for solo runners, $60 for AURA members, and $95 for relay teams.
