Malta 2k, 3k & 5k Trail Race

The Malta 2k, 3k, and 5k Trail Race is a community event held on October 18, 2026, at the Luther Forest Athletic Fields in Malta, New York. It offers three distances: a 2k, a 3k, and a 5k trail run.

The course starts at the soccer fields and enters the 100 Acre Woods, which features trails maintained by volunteers. Most of the path is a stone dust surface, approximately 6 feet wide, with some sections on soft ground. The event is organized by the Roundabout Runners Club. All proceeds from the event go toward activities and resources to maintain the local trail network.

The 2k and 3k races start first, followed by the 5k race. Each finisher receives a medal. The 5k race awards trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers. Results are posted online after the event.

Participants can park at Luther Forest Athletic Fields. Packet pickup occurs on the morning of the race near the parking and finish area. Strollers and dogs are not permitted during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
