Mad Trapper Relentless

Mad Trapper Relentless is a fall ultra and trail race held at "The Ark" in Denholm, Quebec, located in the Gatineau Hills north of Ottawa. The event takes place on a privately maintained 164-acre trail network featuring technical singletrack with roots, rocks, and sustained elevation changes.

Participants can choose from a variety of distances:

• 3 km and 5 km: Short loops featuring a mix of technical singletrack and some doubletrack.
• 10 km: A single loop that includes a climb to the highest point of the property overlooking a private lake.
• 21 km: Two laps of the 10.5 km trail circuit, totaling approximately 720 m of elevation gain.
• 30 km: A hybrid course consisting of an 18 km gravel road loop followed by one 11 km singletrack forest loop.
• 50 km: An ultra-distance event starting with an 18 km gravel road prologue, followed by three loops of the 10.5 km trail circuit, with a total elevation gain of 1,523 m.

The 21 km, 30 km, and 50 km distances are officially recognized on the UTMB Index. There are no cutoff times for any of the races. Runners for the longer distances pass through the main lodge area to access personal gear and the aid table. The event concludes with a post-race BBQ for participants.
