Grit & Grind Trail Race Camp Fortune Edition
Grit & Grind Trail Race takes place at Camp Fortune in Gatineau Park on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances with technical sections, steep climbs, and singletrack forest running.
Distances offered
- 20 km - two loops with steep climbs, flowing singletrack, and technical descents.
- 10 km - rolling climbs, punchy descents, technical and runnable sections.
- 5 km - short course with quick climbs, sharp descents, and technical turns.
- 2 km Kids - gentle hills and wide trails for ages 7 to 12.
As of 2026 the 20 km is a UTMB Index race. The 20 km field also carries a prize purse for men and women with amounts of 1st $3,000; 2nd $2,000; 3rd $1,000; 4th $750; 5th $500; 6th $250.
Registration includes a commemorative medal unless the Green Bib option is chosen, a personalized race bib if registered before August 27, professional chip timing, and post-race snacks and beverages. The Green Bib does not include a medal and directs part of the fee to the event charity partner Sauvetage Bénévole Outaouais Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue. A shuttle bus to and from Camp Fortune is available as a $5.00 add on.
