Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5k
The Mackinaw Valley Wine Run 5k takes place on June 14, 2026 at Mackinaw Valley Vineyard and Winery in Mackinaw, Illinois. The event is a chip timed 5k that starts and finishes at the winery and is scored by J3 Timing with results posted online.
The course is a two lap route through the vineyards. It is described as mostly cross country style and includes grass and uneven areas; the course is not presented as one for personal best times. The event runs rain or shine and may be delayed for severe weather.
Registration includes a T shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that doubles as a wine stopper, and a chip timed race bib. Participants receive a pour of wine; minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but do not receive a wine glass or a wine pour. The event is open to a wide age range.
Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each 10 year category. Strollers are permitted but not recommended because of uneven ground. Dogs are not allowed except for certified service animals. A virtual participation option is available with the possibility to have a race packet shipped for an additional fee.
