Lory Summer Trail Series - Eltuck Valley 12K
This event is the fourth race in a four-date midweek trail series at Lory State Park, starting from the Eltuck Picnic Area in Bellvue, Colorado. The series runs on four dates in August and includes shorter trail races on valley and hill terrain. The August 25 race uses the Valley Trail and is described as a fast, mostly flat 12 kilometer course with about 500 feet of elevation gain. Registrations for the 12k are capped at 125 entrants; registration for this race opens 2025-12-15 and closes 2026-07-01 with an entry fee listed as $25.
The series uses chip timing and awards series points for each race, with awards for top points scorers at the end of the series. All registrants may choose a free vintage race shirt as available. Post-race provisions include pizza and beverages provided with partner support. There is no on-course aid; permanent toilets are available near the start and along the Valley 12K course at approximately 0.25, 3.8, 6.1 and 6.3 miles. Parking is at the Eltuck Picnic Area with overflow directed to Spur Road.
Policies note a 75% transferable credit valid for 12 months, transfer requests accepted up to 72 hours before a race, and that entries are otherwise non-refundable.
