Loop Out the Year : Fort Steilacoom Park, Lakewood WA, December 26, 2026

Loop Out the Year is a time‑based trail endurance event held at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, Washington. Participants choose a time-limited challenge and complete as many 5 mile loops as they can within that period. The course uses the park trail system and includes about 520 feet of elevation gain per loop. All races start and finish at the barn near the dog park parking lot where runners check in after each lap so laps can be recorded by volunteers.

Available time events include:

  • 8 hours
  • 6 hours
  • 3 hours

An official aid station at the start/finish provides water, several electrolyte blends, warm beverages during the run, soup at the finish, and common light food items. There are limited gluten free and vegan options. Runners may use their vehicles as personal aid stations in the nearby parking lot, but must still check in at the official aid station after each loop to have laps counted. Handmade finisher awards are given to all finishers. The event is organized by Trail Therapy Running and has a published registration period with a posted closing date.
