Loop Out the Year : Fort Steilacoom Park, Lakewood WA

Loop Out the Year is an endurance running event held at Fort Steilacoom Park, with the start and finish located at the barn near the dog park parking lot. The course is a 5-mile loop with 520 feet of gain using the park trail system. Participants run as many loops as they can within their chosen time event; laps are recorded by checking in with a volunteer at the aid station after each loop.

The course passes through a nearby parking lot. Participants may use their vehicles as personal aid stations, but must check in at the official aid station after each loop to ensure distance is counted.

The event aid station provides water, several types of electrolyte blends, light common food, warm beverages during the run, and soup at the finish. There are limited gluten-free and vegan options. Participants with special food needs should plan to bring their own supplies.
