Loop Out the Year
Loop Out the Year takes place at Fort Steilacoom Park in Lakewood, WA. The course starts and finishes at the barn near the dog park parking lot and uses a 5 mile loop with 520 feet of gain along the park trail system.
Participants choose a time-based event of 3 hours, 6 hours, or 8 hours and run as many loops as they can within their chosen time. After each loop runners return to the start/finish/aid station and check in with a volunteer so laps are recorded.
The course passes through a nearby parking lot. Participants may use their vehicles as personal aid stations, but they must still check in at the official aid station after every loop for distance to be counted.
The aid station offers light common food, water, several types of electrolyte blends, warm beverages during the run, and soup at the finish. There are limited gluten-free and vegan options; participants with special food needs should provide their own.
