The Little Backyard Adventure is a loop-based trail endurance event at L.B.A. Park in Olympia, WA on 14 March 2026. The event offers these race options:
- 3-hour endurance run
- 6-hour endurance run
- 12-hour endurance run

Course and format
All runners complete the same loop that begins and ends at the main LBA park shelter. Each loop is about 4 miles with roughly 200 ft of elevation gain. The course is mostly single-track through forest, with technical sections, a few hills, and a canopy of ferns and moss. Results are based on the number of completed loops rather than fastest time; runners may stop at any time. The most loops completed are recognized at an after party and ceremony.
Logistics and services
The race provides a staffed aid station at the loop start/finish with water, Tailwind, soda, fruit, chips, pickles and basic first aid; later in the day quesadillas and soup may be available. The event is cupless - participants should bring a collapsible cup (cups available for purchase at pickup). There is space for personal drop bags at the shelter. Parking is available at the main lot at 3333 Morse-Merryman Road SE, Olympia. Registration includes a handmade finisher award for those who complete at least one loop, a film festival ticket for 15 March, a race sticker, and a tree planted for each finisher.
