Little Backyard Adventure is a trail running event at L.B.A. Park in Olympia, WA on 14 March 2026. The event offers timed endurance races in three formats:
- 12-hour endurance run
- 6-hour endurance run
- 3-hour endurance run
Entry fees listed are $95 for the 12-hour, $60 for the 6-hour, and $40 for the 3-hour, plus registration platform fees. Registration is limited and prices may increase.
Course and race format
All runners complete the same loop. Each loop is approximately 4 miles with about 200 ft of elevation gain. The course is mostly single track through woods south of the park ballfields and begins and ends at the main park shelter. The event emphasizes loop counting rather than fastest time; competitors may stop after any number of loops and awards are given for most loops completed.
Logistics and services
The event is cupless; runners should bring a collapsible cup or may purchase one at race packet pickup. An aid station at the start/finish area is stocked with water, electrolyte drink, soda, fruit, chips, pickles and later warm food options. Race registration includes a finisher award made by a local artist, a ticket to a film screening on March 15, a limited edition sticker, and a tree planted for each finisher.
