Limestone Rocks 8-Hour Race

Limestone Rocks! 8-Hour or 4-Hour Race takes place at Limestone Park in Kankakee, Illinois. Runners choose an endurance 8-Hour or a 4-Hour option, competing on a 1.65-mile loop course. The surface is mostly crushed limestone with sections of asphalt; the course is roughly half flat and half hilly, featuring a short steep downhill and a short steep uphill and a few small hills, with a total elevation change up to 50 feet. Scoring is based on total loops completed, with ties broken by the earliest finish of the last loop. An on-site aid station, base-camp area, and finisher awards; proceeds benefit local groups.
