Course and logistics

The course begins at Horseshoe Lake in Roxbury and passes through Roxbury, Flanders, Mount Olive, Budd Lake, Hackettstown, Byram, Hopatcong, Jefferson, Mount Arlington and returns to Roxbury. The route is roughly 70% road and 30% trail and includes sections in Stephen's State Park, Lake Hopatcong Trails and Dickerson Mine Preserve, with views of Lake Hopatcong, Cranberry Lake and Budd Lake. Aid stations are placed approximately every 10k and signage will be used along the route. Organizers advise participants to carry the official course map while racing.

Organizers will not use chip timing or electronic trackers. Instead, participants or relay teams receive a flag at each aid station and must check in with an aid station volunteer to be recorded as having passed that section.

Equipment and awards

Required items include a reflective vest, headlamp or flashlight and GPS (a phone is acceptable). Organizers also recommend a hydration pack and snacks and winter-appropriate clothing. Participants who start and finish receive a finisher medal and a banana. First place solo and first place relay team members receive trophies engraved "Last Supper 100K 1st Place."
