Last of the Felascans
Alachua, United States • 22 Nov 2025
Last of the Felascans is a backyard-style ultra held at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park in Alachua, Florida. Racers tackle a 4.167-mile loop every hour, with the loop distance engineered so a 24-hour day yields 100 miles. The course combines daytime forest trails and a dirt road section after dark, with no pavement.
The on-course aid is nonexistent; all support is at the start/finish, where bathrooms and water are available and each runner has a 10-by-10 base camp. Participants receive a whistle before each yard and a shirt, with the Last Person Standing earning a special trophy if they outlast all others. Ice may be available.
