Gate2Gate Trail Run
The Gate2Gate Trail Run is a trail running event in and around San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park near Alachua, Florida. The event uses trails in the northern and southern portions of the park, including single-track mountain bike trails, open fields, rolling hills, and double-track hiking and birding trails. The southern section follows the yellow trail loop and routes through the western portion of the park before returning to the north end.
The event offers the following distances:
- 25K
- 50K
The 25K consists of a single circuit of the course; the 50K consists of two circuits. The course will be open for eight hours.
Aid stations are located at marked mile points on each loop. Loop 1 stations: Mile 5 (Old Oak Road), Mile 9 (South Gate), Mile 12 (CSO), Mile 15.5 (Start/Finish). Loop 2 stations: Mile 20.5 (Old Oak Road), Mile 24.75 (South Gate), Mile 28 (CSO), Mile 31.5 (Start/Finish). Each aid station provides water, electrolyte drink (Powerade), basic ultra foods such as PB&J sandwiches, and assorted sweet and salty items. Aid stations will not supply gels, S-Caps, or medications. Cups will not be provided; participants must carry their own bottles, hydration vests, or cups. Single-serving gel packs are discouraged to reduce trail litter.
The event is a benefit race; net profits will be donated to the Friends of San Felasco community support organization. Every finisher receives a custom medal and a custom glass; 50K finishers also receive a custom trucker hat. Registration is nonrefundable and nontransferable under the stated policy.
