The Gate2Gate Trail Run takes place in the San Felasco Hammock Preserve just outside Alachua, Florida. The event offers trail races over 25K and 50K distances on a looped course that uses both northern and southern park trail systems.

The course begins in the northern park area and moves through single-track mountain bike trails, open fields, rolling hills, and double-track hiking and birding trails in the southern section. Runners follow a yellow-trail loop through the western park area and use a connector trail back to the north end. 25K runners complete the circuit once; 50K runners complete it twice. The course is open for eight hours.

Aid stations are located at multiple miles on each loop and provide water, electrolyte drink (Powerade), PB&J sandwiches, and a selection of sweet and salty foods. Aid stations will not supply cups, gels, S-Caps, or medications such as ibuprofen; participants must carry their own bottles or hydration systems and bring any specialized nutrition or medication they require. The event requests that single-serving gel packs not be used on the trail to reduce litter.

The event is a benefit race with net profits donated to the Friends of San Felasco community support organization. Every finisher receives a custom medal and a custom glass, and 50K finishers also receive a custom trucker hat. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
