Gate2Gate Trail Run - Alachua, FL
The Gate2Gate Trail Run is a trail running event held in San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park near Alachua, Florida. The course begins in the park's northern region on single-track mountain bike trails and open fields with rolling hills. After the first five miles the route transitions to double-track hiking and birding trails in the southern park, follows the yellow trail toward the western section with notable hills, then moves toward the CSO area and returns to the north-end biking trails.
Distances:
- 25K : one circuit of the course.
- 50K : two circuits of the course.
The course is open for eight hours. Aid stations are located at Loop 1: Mile 5 (Old Oak Road), 9 (South Gate), 12 (CSO), 15.5 (Start/Finish); Loop 2: 20.5 (Old Oak Road), 24.75 (South Gate), 28 (CSO), 31.5 (Start/Finish). Aid stations offer water, electrolyte (Powerade), basic ultra foods such as PB&J sandwiches, and various sweets and salty foods. No gels, S-caps, or medications will be provided. Cups are not provided; participants must carry their own bottles, hydration vests, or cups. Single-serving gel packs are discouraged to reduce trail litter.
The event is a benefit; net profits will be donated to Friends of San Felasco. Every finisher receives a custom medal and a custom glass; 50K finishers also receive a custom trucker hat.
