Course and format
The course starts in the northern region of San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park and uses a mix of single-track biking trails, open fields, and rolling hills. After the first 5 miles, the route transitions to double-track hiking and birding trails in the southern portion of the park, follows the yellow trail loop through the western area with some hills, moves toward the CSO area, then follows a lesser known connector back to the north-end biking trails and the start. 25k entrants complete the circuit once; 50k entrants complete it twice. The course will be open for 8 hours.
Aid stations and services
Aid stations are located at the following mile markers: Loop 1 at miles 5, 9, 12, and 15.5; Loop 2 at miles 20.5, 24.75, 28, and 31.5. Each aid station will provide water, electrolyte drink (Powerade), basic ultra foods such as PB&J sandwiches, and a variety of sweet and salty foods. Gels, S-Caps, and medications will not be provided. Cups will not be supplied; participants must carry their own bottles, hydration vests, or cups. Single-serving gel packs are discouraged to reduce litter.
Awards and accommodations
Every finisher of either distance will receive a custom medal and a custom glass. 50k finishers will also receive a custom trucker hat. Camping options are available at nearby state parks, including O'Leno State Park and Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, each about 20-30 minutes from the start.
