Event overview
The Gate2Gate Trail Run is a trail race held at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park near Alachua, Florida. The event is a benefit race; all net profits will be donated to the Friends of San Felasco Community Support Organization. Registration opens December 1, 2025. The course will be open for 8 hours.
Course and distances
The course uses trails in the northern and southern portions of San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park, including single-track mountain bike trails, open fields, rolling hills, and double-track hiking and birding trails. The southern portion follows the yellow trail loop through the western part of the park and passes a CSO area before returning to the north end.

Runners in the 25k complete the circuit once; 50k runners complete the circuit twice.
Aid stations and race services
Aid stations are located at the following mile markers: Loop 1 - mile 5, 9, 12, 15.5 (start/finish); Loop 2 - mile 20.5, 24.75, 28, 31.5. The aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink (Powerade), basic ultra foods such as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and assorted sweets and salty snacks. Gels, S-Caps, and medications like ibuprofen are not provided. Cups are not provided; participants must carry their own bottles or hydration systems. Drop bags are available at the start/finish for 50k runners. Participants are asked not to use single-serving gel packs on the trail.
Other information
Every finisher receives a custom medal and a custom glass; 50k finishers also receive a custom trucker hat. The event includes a TailGate2Gate celebration zone. Camping options are available nearby at O'Leno State Park and Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, both about 20-30 minutes from the start. Sponsors support the race.
