The Last Man Standing Lake Placid takes place on July 25, 2026 in Lake Placid, NY at Mt. Van Hoevenberg (31 Van Hoevenberg Way, Lake Placid, NY 12946). The published entry fee is $122.90 (includes a $7.90 fee). Registration closes on July 25, 2026. The race field is limited to 200 runners; a wait list will open after the field sells out. Race giveaways include shirts and medals. For 2026, the event adds award ribbon sliders that attach to medal ribbons for hitting Ultra Levels: 50k, 50 Mile, 100K, and 100 Mile. Awards are listed for Overall Champion, Male/Female Overall, Masters Male/Female, and Grand Masters Male/Female.

Race format

The event uses the Backyard Ultra format. The course is a loop of 4.167 miles (6.706 km) on wooded trails. A new loop begins at the top of each hour and participants must complete each loop within the hour to continue. Runners are eliminated if they fail to complete a loop in time or choose not to start the next loop. The last person to complete a loop is declared the overall winner.
