Last Man Standing Lake Placid is a backyard ultra held on wooded trails at Mt. Hovenberg in Lake Placid, New York. Competitors must complete one continuous loop of 4.167 miles every hour. Runners who finish a loop early may rest or refuel, but they must return to the start corral and begin the next loop on time; failing to start a loop on time results in elimination.
Registration opens August 31, 2025 and closes July 25, 2026. Entry fees follow a tiered structure based on the number of registered participants: $115 for slots 0–125, $125 for 126–150, $135 for 151–175, and $145 for 176–200. The race limits entries to 200 runners, after which a waitlist is used.
Event extras include race shirts and medals, and new 2026 award ribbon sliders that attach to medal ribbons for hitting ultra distance milestones of 50k, 50 mile, 100k, and 100 mile.
