Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl

Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl takes place on the east side of Grizedale Forest in Season 5. The route runs mainly on wide forest paths and is fully marked. The course is chip timed and GPX files are available for download. There are no cut offs.

Two distance options are available:

  • 10K, 260 m ascent
  • 6K, 150 m ascent

The 6K route avoids some of the ascent and is recommended for beginners or those seeking a shorter route for their dogs. The course layout and surface make this one of the more runnable events in the series.

Runners may compete with or without dogs. The organiser allows up to two dogs per runner on this course; all dogs must be run on a suitable harness.

Additional event details include a minimum age requirement of 16 and an entry fee of £20. Entries open and close according to the event schedule published by the organiser. The event is part of the Lakeland Paws series and is the second Grizedale event in the current season. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
