Lakeland Paws: Grizedale Growl - Grizedale Forest

Lakeland Paws presents a forest trail event at Grizedale Forest on 3 January 2027. The course is set on the east side of the forest and is fully marked. The route uses wide forest paths throughout and is chip timed, with GPX files available for download.

There are two course options on a looped route. The longer option is a 10K with 260 m of ascent. The shorter option is a 6K with 150 m of ascent and avoids some of the steeper sections; this shorter route is recommended for those seeking a reduced distance for themselves or their dogs. Organizers note this event has less ascent than other events in the series.

Runners may compete with or without dogs. Up to two dogs are allowed per runner and all dogs must be run on a suitable harness. There are no cut offs for this event. Entries are handled through the SiEntries system; entries open 27 April 2026 and close 2 January 2027. Minimum age to enter is 16 or older. The event is part of the Lakeland Paws series and is organized by Green Space Events Ltd. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
